Welcome New Member

Municipal Employees Chapter would like to welcome our newest member, Kim Landers.  Kim works as an Administrative Assistant for the City of Sugar Hill.  We are excited to have Kim join us.

Kudos go out to our newest member, Patti DuMestre, CPS.  Patti took her CPS exam with us in May.  The results are in and Patti passed.  Great job Patti!

Mother’s Day Community Service Project

Community Service Project

We will be collecting non-perishable food items for a local food bank.  Please bring your can goods and other items to our February & March monthly meeting.  After the holidays it is easy to forget those in need.  Help us make this a huge success.

Congratulations to Debbie Boyd

Debbie Boyd recently took and passed her Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification test.  This is an industry certification for H.R. professionals.  Human resources is only one of the many hats Debbie wears in her position as Office Services Coordinator for the Gwinnett County Department of Water Resources.  Way to go Debbie!

2010 Membership Drive – October 21

We will be having our annual membership drive on October 21, 2010.  Come get to know us and get all your questions answered about IAAP and the Municipal Employees Chapter.  We will have an excellent education program that night with Greg Creech.  This is just a sample of how your membership with IAAP works for you.

Congratulations Mary Beth

The Municipal Employees Chapter would like to congratulate Mary Beth Bender, CPS/CAP on passing her CAP certification this past May.  Mary Beth joined our chapter in March of 2009 and obtained her CPS after taking the exam in November 2009.  She was installed as the chapter secretary for the 2010-2011 year.  Way to go Mary Beth!

Community Service Update

Municipal Employees Chapter members continue to give back to our community.  Over the holidays, Debbie Boyd and Donna Mitchell CPS/CAP took time out of their busy schedules to be “ice cream scoopers” for a local nursing home.  Doris Davis CPS/CAP had the job of Christmas shopping for the chapter’s Toys for Tots donations.  Tough job [...]
