Chapter History
The Municipal Employees Chapter is a Chapter in the Georgia Division that was formed in 1995 for governmental employees (organizations that receive federal, state or county funding).Members enjoy affiliation with an internationally recognized professional organization and the opportunity to network with other administrative professionals from a variety of governmental agencies throughout the county and state.Working for a municipality has unique challenges not seen in the private sector.Having a network of professionals who understand this is an asset to your career. We enjoy sharing with each other and also giving back to our community through various projects throughout the year. Members are also encouraged to take leadership roles within the chapter to enhance their communication and management skills.
Seminars and speakers are provided monthly for members to grow both personally and professionally. The educational benefits will help you to stay on top of the latest technology and best business practices. We invite you to join us for a fun and informative program every third Thursday of the month. Professional Development Hour Credits, CPS/CAP Re-certification Points, or a Certificate of Attendance is awarded for these meetings.
